Through our understanding of the cultural sector, we work with the museum to lift the lid on the collection for its members, to tell the stories behind the exhibitions and to offer members an insider’s view of the way the museum works. Using the exhibitions programme as the starting point, we develop editorial that provides readers with insights into the museum that can only be found in the magazine. We use the best writers and photographers to create an editorially independent magazine that enriches members’ experience of the V&A, engages them in museum activities and supports retention.
The magazine comes out three times a year, supported by luxury advertising. Our network of advertisers and understanding of luxury brands ensures we attract advertisers from Gucci to Loewe. We work closely with the development team to make sure that all relationships are beneficial to the museum. .
Alongside the magazine editorial, we conceive and produce films that bring exclusive access to objects and expand on the themes of the exhibitions to make sure they reach as wide an audience as possible. Audience figures have quadrupled over the past four years and there are now over 100,000 members.
