Sky Arts Late series

A 90 minute monthly filmed as live TV show commissioned and launched in 2020 as part of Sky Arts move to Freeview. Developed as a flagship late night debate and entertainment show to build deeper engagement with the arts.

Sky Arts is the UK’s only dedicated arts channel, and exists to bring more art to more people across the UK.

By offering something for everyone, whatever their passion, Sky Arts showcases the best of classical and popular music, theatre, opera, dance and the visual arts, as well as original drama and comedy.

Presented by Tim Marlow, Sky Arts Late was a late-night dissection of the arts with a range of opinionated, brazen and brave debate from across the UK’s culture scene. An antidote to the dumbed-down and the bitesize, this is a new, no-holds barred space for a grown-up, lively discussion, with performances and star guests adding original perspectives and debates driven by topics and themes that can also be tied into the biggest arts stories of the month and SKY ARTS own flagship content and seasons.

We filmed during several lockdowns amid complex restrictions at performing arts venues that were dark during the pandemic. Working with a team of experienced live producers, directors and crew the show featured some of the biggest international names in music, dance, stage and screen, including: Idles, Yungblud, Cynthia Erivo, Irvine Welsh, Catherine Ryan, Russel Tovey, Rufus Norris, Jude Law, Kit de Waal, Laura Marling and Nish Kumar.
