Art Basel stages the world’s premier modern and contemporary art fairs annually in Basel, Miami Beach and Hong Kong. The organisation is a driving force in supporting the role that galleries play in nurturing the careers of their artists, and frequently expands its platforms to embrace the latest developments in the visual arts. Cultureshock has worked with Art Basel over the past several years to produce films, as well as, most recently, on a film and social campaign to build greater content and visual assets around its prestigious Conversations programme.
Art Basel Conversations
Art Basel Conversations is a series of artist talks, panels and discussions addressing topics concerning the global contemporary art scene with a range of top international speakers including artists, gallerists, curators, collectors, architects, art lawyers, critics and many other cultural players.
As part of our campaign to raise awareness for the Art Basel Conversations series pre, live and post show, we developed a social media strategy based around film, tweets, instastories and Facebook posts. We delivered full transcripts and subtitled films as well as a range of social media assets for Art Basel to post.
In 2014 Art Basel asked Cultureshock to produce a series of films on location at its art fairs in Hong Kong, Basel and Miami Beach. Interviews with artists, VIP visitors, organisers and gallerists are woven into location footage, providing insights into every strand of the programme and the often spectacular artworks on show in the three cities.
