Cultureshock Media launched its first new on-line films for the V&A in October 2008 when two films about famous designers featured in the V&A’s ‘Cold War Modern’ exhibition went live on the museum’s website. Directed by Tom Haines and produced by Cultureshock Media, these atmospheric films focused on Ken Adam, production designer of the classic Bond movies and the legendary product designer Dieter Rams. Later the same month, Cultureshock's short film cataloguing the achievements of the V&A's Future Plan initiative was launched.
The V&A is increasingly looking to on-line broadcasts and films as a way of promoting the museum, its collections, its exhibitions and its services on its own website and those of media partners. CsM is working alongside the museum’s Public Affairs team to develop the editorial character, content and presentation strategy for the channel.
Forthcoming films in the series will feature designers and personalities
including Sir Paul Smith, Laurence Llewellyn Bowen, Betty Jackson,
Stephen Jones, Neisha Crosland and Erin O’Connor.
