Conceived by Cultureshock Media and presented by leading music writer and cultural critic Paul Morley, Kylie: Cultural Icon is a 23-minute high-definition production for Sky Arts. It examines Kylie Minogue's extraordinary rise from Melbourne suburbanite to global star.
Taking a V&A exhibition of Kylie's costumes as its starting point, Kylie: Cultural Icon traces the Australian singer's journey from Neighbours to art museum. Featuring luscious HD footage of Kylie's costumes and edited video highlights of her key hits, the film's sharply paced narrative also features Paul Morley's personal analysis of Kylie's career.
There are also contributions from commentators including Clive James, Peter York and former Nuts editor Phil Hilton about different facets of Kylie's iconic appeal.
